Q: What is your photography & videography style?
A: The ‘Noteworthy’ documentary style is Natural, Elegant, Storytelling,
Capturing authentic expressions, romance & emotions.
We capture your day as wedding storytellers, in an unobstructive way, capturing natural moments as they occur, without them being staged.
Style & Approach Questions -
Q: What is your philosophy regarding capturing our day?
A: Here at Noteworthy we put affordability and our passion for our work, at the heart of what we do.
Our job is truly our passion and we feel so proud & privileged to be selected by you and trusted to capture of one of the most important and special days of your life.
Our philosophy is to spot different angles & creative perspectives, telling your true wedding day story through our lenses, without disrupting the natural flow and order of your wedding day.
With two of us, it also means that we can capture the same scene from various angles, not missing a single moment or reaction.
Q: Do you capture the traditional family/guests photographs?
A: We do choreograph some of the shots, such as the traditional ‘family and guest’ portraits, as well as the ‘bride and groom’ portraits.
We know these photos are very important to not only the wedding couple, but to your family and friends.
We know it isn’t that often everyone is together to capture these precious photographs, especially when everyone is dressed to impress!
When we do set up the group portraits, we do this in a very discreet, friendly and efficient manner.
Let’s face it, no one wants to spend forever waiting to have their photo taken, they want to enjoy and celebrate your amazing day.
Q: My venue is very dark is this a problem?
A: We have shot in the darkest of dark churches and very atmospheric venues, so no need to worry at all, this is what we are trained for!
If the situation allows, we will set up additional lighting as necessary.
Some venues do not allow for flash photography, however this is not a problem.
Our Nikon D850 camera’s have superb low-light performance alongside our lenses with low apertures.
General Questions -
Q: Do you deliver every image you capture and how many photographs can I expect to receive?
A: Dependant on your wedding day package and guest numbers, you can expect to receive anything from 500+ photographs from us.
We fully edit photographs and eliminate duplicate images, test shots, shots with bad expressions etc, to ensure we deliver the best photographs from your day to you.
Q: Have you captured weddings at my venue before?
A: We have shot at hundreds of venues across Kent and the South East,
so there is a good chance that we have.
However, if we have not, we will get to the venue early on the day of your wedding and be sure to perform a thorough walk-through to scout out the best photography & video locations.
We also do extensive online research prior to your big day!
Q: Can we print and share our wedding day photographs?
A: Yes, your photos will be delivered as hi-resolution JPEG files on a USB, as well as online, within a password protected gallery.
On this online gallery guests can access, download and view your photographs.
All images are with full online & printing rights, without watermarks.
Q: How long after our wedding day do we expect to wait before we receive our photos/videos?
A: We aim to fully edit and supply your wedding day photographs online within 4-8 weeks of your wedding day.
You will also receive a ‘sneek preview’ photograph, within 3 days of your wedding, uploaded to social media.
Wedding Videos are fully edited and supplied to you within 5-10 weeks.
Q: We are a little camera shy, any advice?
A: We capture your day as naturally as possible, in an unobstructive way.
We want to make sure our wedding couples feel as relaxed as possible, when having their photographs captured.
Our philosophy is that you and your guests forget we are there. That is when we know we are doing a great job!
We try avoid shooting anything to staged and overly posed.
We want you to enjoy your day as it unfolds, without worrying about being on camera all the time.
Q: Do you have a back-up plan in case of illness etc?
A: Yes, we are fully insured and have agreements with five other local photographers & videographers.
If on the day a problem did unlikely arise, they will cover our weddings for us. But as there are two of us, one of us would always attend.
Since 2013, we have never had to cancel and create a back up plan for attending a wedding.
Your wedding day is our priority and we will never let you down.
Q: Do you have public liability insurance?
A: Yes, we are fully insured for cover up to £5 million.
Please get in touch if your venue requires proof of our insurance.
Editing & Post-wedding Questions -
Q: Do you fully edit and enhance our photos and video?
A: All photos and video footage captured, is fully edited and enhanced prior to delivery.
Photographs are each individually edited and ‘retouched’ within Photoshop & Lightroom.
All video footage is also fully edited and enhanced, within Adobe Premiere Pro.
Q: Is our photography & video footage backed up?
A: Yes, after your wedding day as concluded, we return to our home office and immediately transfer your photos & video footage, to two separate hard drives and an iMac computer.
Throughout your wedding day, our cameras also automatically backup all photo and video files to a secondary memory card, to ensure no issues arise.
Q: With our highlights video, can we choose any song we desire?
A: Yes, you can select a song of your choice.
All music included within your wedding day film and highlights is fully licensed by the The MCPS/PRS Limited Manufacture License.
This is purchased for each individual film on the PRS for music website: https://www.prsformusic.com.
This is included within your wedding day package at no extra cost.
Q: How long do you store our wedding photos and video?
A: We store your photographs and videos indefinitely via the cloud, online, within password protected galleries and on external hard drives.
Equipment Questions -
Q: What type of camera and equipment do you use?
A: We use the Nikon D850 camera for photographing and capturing your special day (see photo below).
The Nikon D850 has been voted best DSLR by various camera magazines & professional reviewers, due to its amazing specifications, quality and performance.
We also use a wide variety of Nikon lenses,
from the 35mm f/1.4G, 50mm f/1.8G,
24 -70mm f.2.8G and the
70 - 200mm f/2.8G ED.
For videography, we also use two highly reviewed industry pro Panasonic videography cameras (see photo below).
These cameras are both great for capturing your day in full 1080p and simply amazing in low light.
These high specification pro video cameras, are also used in live TV broadcasting.
To ensure the ultimate sound quality on your wedding day film, we also use external microphones for your ceremony & speeches.
Q: Do you bring back up equipment on the day?
A: Yes, we have back up cameras, memory cards, lighting/flashes etc.
Qualifications & Experience Questions -
Q: What qualifications do you have?
A: We both have professional media training and are members of the Guild of Photographers.
Freya undertook a degree in Photography & Multimedia, and was awarded First Class Hons (BSc) in this discipline.
She is also a celebrated Alumni at the University of Greenwich and has collaborated and presented at the University since graduating.
We were also very honoured to be nominated and awarded for our work, at the Kent Wedding Awards.
Q: How much experience do you both have?
A: We both have many years of experience within the wedding industry, with over 200 weddings captured here at Noteworthy, since 2013.
Our work has also been published and featured in various wedding magazines, including ‘The Kentish Ceremony’.
We are also the recommended suppliers of The Clarendon Royal Hotel, Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa and are featured with the Bull Hotel on their website.
For your added peace mind, we are fully insured and both DBS checked, with all our wedding couples providing us with 5* reviews.
Consultations & Meeting Questions -
Q: Can we arrange an engagement shoot with you?
A: Yes, we offer engagement shoot portrait sessions.
These sessions are a perfect way to get you comfortable in front of the lens, as well as gaining an idea of how we work with you, on your wedding day.
This shoot can be at your venue, or a location of your choice.
Please contact us if you would like to arrange a session and we will provide a quote.
Q: Can we meet to discuss our wedding day further?
A: Yes, an optional consultation can be held prior to, on booking, or nearer to the date of your wedding day .
Consultations are held at our home & office address.
Alternatively, consultations can be held via video call.
Booking, Deposit & Payment Questions -
Q: How do we book with you?
A: We really appreciate and are honoured that you are considering us to capture your wedding day.
Once you have contacted us to check our availability and have decided to proceed with booking us, we send you an online booking form.
This booking form gains initial information from you such as your wedding date & venue.
Once you have completed the booking form, we ask for a booking fee to secure your date and package price.
Q: How much is your booking fee/deposit?
A: All packages are reserved with an £200 deposit, paid by bank transfer.
Q: What do we receive once we have booked with you?
A: Once you have completed our booking form & paid your deposit, you will receive a welcome pack from us, to confirm you are fully booked for your wedding day coverage.
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: We do offer fully flexible payment plans, where you can pay in monthly instalments, tailored to each of our couples requests.
Q: When is the final balance due?
A: All packages must be paid in full, 6 weeks prior to your wedding.
Q: How far in advance can we book with you?
A: Ideally as soon as possible.
Some of our couples can book us up to 2/3 years in advance, meaning dates go very fast.
Summer and Bank Holiday dates are very popular.
COVID-19 Questions -
Q: Do you offer COVID Protection against my booking?
A: All our packages are covered by our COVID promise.
This means if you have to change your date, we will transfer your wedding booking to your new scheduled day.
Q: Will I receive a refund if you can not cover my day?
A: Yes, if we are not available to cover your day in the case of a postponement, you will receive a full refund.
